Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance

At Amsted Industries, we act with the highest standard of integrity in everything we do. Our focus on environmental sustainability, social equity and diversity, and corporate governance remains as the cornerstone to our success.

The Spirit of Ownership

Our unique, employee-owned (ESOP) culture instills a sense of pride throughout our workforce. The ESOP creates a retirement savings vehicle that closes the gap in wealth disparity for our U.S. employee-owners, driving commitment from our employee-owners to our stakeholders and our communities. Similarly, we employ an autonomous decision-making structure across our four diverse businesses. Guided by our core values of integrity, respect for people, and social responsibility, each of our businesses is empowered to operate in a manner which brings them success.

Environmental

We have employed an internal environmental program for over 25 years, including a chemical risk reduction program first developed in 2002. In 2022, we launched a program to measure greenhouse gas emissions across our businesses, and we will continue to lead our industries in process innovation to minimize our environmental impact. Plus, we are aligned with customer and industry trends toward electrification and sustainable products. We invest in new product development that not only enhances performance but limits the carbon footprint of the end users.

Social

Our corporate mission is to deliver premium value to our customers for the betterment of our employees and their communities. It starts with a focus on our people, their wellbeing, and their career development. Through our RISE leadership program, a customized, multi-year executive learning program curated with the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business, we help unleash the potential of our workers by providing a powerful framework for achieving leadership across all core competencies. We also offer cooperative education programs to employees and internships to prospective employees to aid in career growth and opportunity.

All of our businesses have a commitment to the communities in which they live and work. Through the Amsted Industries Foundation and volunteer programs, we are able to support and mobilize our communities worldwide.

Corporate Governance

Amsted is governed by a board of directors with the breadth of experience that is often seen in publicly traded companies. Our board of directors balances the interests of the company’s many stakeholders including employees, senior management executives, customers, suppliers and the community.
