Blazing a trail in the digital revolution

Jill began her career as a computer programmer at ConMet in 1983 when ConMet was a much smaller $30M company, and of course had far fewer digital tools available. Looking back, she can’t believe the changes she has seen in both the company and in technology over the years saying, “ConMet has always been an innovative, forward-thinking company and that has resulted in a culture that truly embraces digital and uses it to empower our company, our employees, and our customers.” As the role of IT has grown in the organization over the years, Jill has been promoted from IT Manager to IT Director and eventually to her current position as ConMet’s VP, IT & Digital Business Solutions.

Work hard. Care hard.

“Finding something you love to do and feeling that what you are doing is making a difference” is Jill’s definition of success and exactly what she has found in her career at ConMet. Jill values Amsted’s ESOP program and the culture it has built. “I am surrounded by people who are passionate about Amsted,” she said. “We all have a vested interest in the success of company and it shows in everything we do. Amsted is not just employee-owned, but also employee-focused, where learning and development opportunities are not only offered, but encouraged.”

Jill feels very fortunate to have been afforded so many exciting and challenging opportunities and appreciates the strong mentors who have made such a difference in her career and her life. “The opportunities here are endless and I encourage my team to take advantage of all that ConMet and Amsted has to offer,” she explains.
