The Amsted Industries team recently participated in Friends of the Chicago River’s Friends in the Field event, a hands-on cleanup dedicated to improving river habitat, removing harmful litter, and strengthening our connection to one of Chicago’s most iconic natural resources. It was a meaningful opportunity to give back to the city we call home.
Our team brought real energy to the effort, collecting an impressive 106 pounds of trash, along with boat cushions that pushed well past the scale’s 30-pound limit. The work was a testament to what a committed group of people can accomplish in a single day.
We’re grateful to Friends of the Chicago River for organizing such an impactful event and for the important work they do year-round to protect and restore the Chicago River. Thank you to every Amsted team member who participated and helped make a positive difference in our community.
