Kerby Vulgamott a commenc\u00e9 sa carri\u00e8re en 1998 gr\u00e2ce au programme d’\u00e9ducation coop\u00e9rative d’Amsted (” co-op “), qui donne aux \u00e9tudiants universitaires la possibilit\u00e9 de combiner des programmes acad\u00e9miques avec une exp\u00e9rience professionnelle pertinente dans une entreprise Amsted et de les pr\u00e9parer \u00e0 de futurs postes de direction dans l’organisation. Gr\u00e2ce au programme coop\u00e9ratif, Kerby a \u00e9t\u00e9 expos\u00e9 \u00e0 divers probl\u00e8mes, fonctions et processus de fabrication pour faire progresser sa carri\u00e8re – et il a trouv\u00e9 sa place chez Amsted Rail. <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

24 ans plus tard, Kerby est en train de cr\u00e9er une toute nouvelle entreprise au sein de la fonderie d’Amsted Rail \u00e0 Granite City, en tant que directeur des op\u00e9rations de transit. En tant que fournisseur de composants ferroviaires pour le transport de marchandises, Amsted Rail s’aventure dans le secteur des transports en commun, ce qui est \u00e0 la fois passionnant et stimulant. Pour Kerby, les d\u00e9fis quotidiens sont l’un des aspects qu’il pr\u00e9f\u00e8re dans son travail dans l’industrie ferroviaire. <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Au fil des ans, Kerby a apport\u00e9 \u00e0 ses \u00e9quipes sa riche exp\u00e9rience en mati\u00e8re d’exploitation, de s\u00e9curit\u00e9, de sant\u00e9 et de d\u00e9veloppement personnel. Il attribue sa r\u00e9ussite personnelle \u00e0 ses mentors chez Amsted Rail qui l’ont guid\u00e9 tout au long de sa carri\u00e8re, ainsi qu’\u00e0 la culture g\u00e9n\u00e9rale de l’entreprise. Kerby d\u00e9crit la culture comme \u00e9tant collaborative et familiale. <\/p>\n

“Si vous avez une question, vous avez un acc\u00e8s imm\u00e9diat \u00e0 toute personne plus haut plac\u00e9e dans l’entreprise”, explique Kerby. “Personne ici n’est au-dessus d’un autre, quelle que soit sa position ou son titre. Tout le monde est l\u00e0 pour s’entraider.” <\/p>\n

Selon M. Kerby, le plan d’actionnariat salari\u00e9 d’Amsted est un autre facteur qui contribue \u00e0 cette culture. Comme les employ\u00e9s-propri\u00e9taires ont une participation dans l’entreprise, ils sont motiv\u00e9s et passionn\u00e9s par leurs projets, sachant que leurs contributions \u00e0 l’entreprise signifient qu’ils gagnent aussi ce succ\u00e8s. <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Tout au long de sa carri\u00e8re, Kerby a eu le plaisir de voir des employ\u00e9s qu’il a contribu\u00e9 \u00e0 embaucher ou qu’il a encadr\u00e9s devenir des chefs d’entreprise. Maintenant qu’il dirige la nouvelle \u00e9quipe de transit, il a l’occasion de voir les nouveaux venus dans le secteur commencer \u00e0 se d\u00e9velopper. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
